Gestern Nacht wurden die besten TV-Formate gekürt. Succession wurde erwartungsgemäß zur „Besten Drama-Serie“ gekührt, allerdings waren andere TV-Formate wesentlich erfolgreicher was die Anzahl der Preise angeht. The White Lotus beispielsweise, welche mit 10 Emmys ausgezeichnet wurde. Vor allem Coolidges Rede (inklusive Tanzeinlage) wies zu begeistern.

Auch hat RuPauls Drag Race insgesamt seinen Emmy-Serie fortsetzen und sich bereits  26 (!)-facher Emmysieger nennen und hält weiterhin den Rekord für die beste Moderation (nun 7x hintereinander)! Gigantisch! Weitere Rekorde sind von Zendaya gebrochen worden, die als erste POC den Hauptdarstellerinnenpreis 2x für dieselbe Serie (Euphoria) erhielt und Lee Jung-jae ist der erste asiatische Hauptdarsteller in einer Drama-Serie in der Geschichte der Emmys! Der vorherigen Emmy-Preisträger mit asiatischem Hintergrund kann man an einer Hand abzählen: Darren Criss und Riz Ahmed als „Beste Darsteller in einer Mini-Serie“ und Archie Panjabi als „Beste Nebendarstellerin in einer Drama-Serie“.
